Random Moments - Summer-like September and much of October

Weekdays have been packed and challenging logistically while weekends have been welcome downtime.  I learned a new word - Bedgasm - which is what I definitely feel every weeknight at bedtime.  It's the euphoric feeling right when you get under the covers after a long day.

Our weekends have been spent with mini family adventures and family time. Kids are not involved with lots of weekend fall activity commitments so it's been a nice change of pace.  We've had surprisingly summer-like weather since school started which has only helped weekend adventures.

I hear Paul and Elise scooter out the door and as they arrive home on the days I work from home.  I have noticed both of them get a little more thoughtful with each other helping each other out and their banter.  Lily is taking the bus and has long days with drama club and play rehearsals.  She has decided to give Volleyball another go through our club so we'll see how tryouts go.

Here are some random moments since school started at the beginning of September

Lily's 8th grade.  Lolo says she looks like Cher from the movie Clueless.  I kinda see it.

Nate called Paul and Elise Ham and Cheese this year for their 5th grade school photos.

Captured a teenage moment from our Social Saturday crew of friends since these kids were in diapers.

Lily joined me on an urban hike.  Saved a baby mouse too.

Easy weekend afternoon at Wallace Park sliding on cardboard

Evening time breaking in both the boys' new baseball mitts.  I had no idea it's quite the process.

Mini adventure to Rocket Fizz old time candy store.  Nate found a drink from his childhood - Faygo Rock & Rye!

Rare weekend outing for us with Lily alone

This year's Halloween decor.  Kids wanted a cat door this year.

Early morning pumpkin patch outing

We inherited Great Grandpa's tuxedo.  Fits Nate.  Elise likes wearing it too.

Kid usually want to do takeout vs eat at the restaurant.  Was a nice change of pace at new place JoJo's one warm Friday night.

Hood River day trip.  Boys went mountain biking while the girls hit up a food and craft fair.  Met up at this new gem of a park in downtown Hood River.

I'm off to Palm Springs later this week for a birthday getaway with my sister.  I tacked on a little extra time as a birthday present to myself.  I have missed you clay court tennis. I'm coming.
