Sonya and Oma in Portland

We were recently spoiled with a visit by both Oma and Aunt Sonya. Sonya spent most of her time kissing Lily and Oma spent most of her time turning around Lily's walker over and over and over again to keep Lily happy and moving. Probably the cutest thing that Lily has kept doing since Oma left is singing. Lily knows which book is the German song book and as she pulls it off the shelf, you can hear her singing (humming with her mouth open).

I'm trying to be selective with saying "no" in a stern voice just so she starts to really understand when she does something really wrong ("NO BITING") but it's getting tougher. These last few months have been about figuring out how to distract her when it comes to getting her to eat, change a diaper, and keeping her out of trouble.

Lily is a total ham. She enjoys getting people's attention, for a short while, before moving on to the next person. I should just put her in a high chair at an outdoor table of a 23rd street restaurant and enjoy the show. Why haven't I done that? If this weather holds, it's on my list of things to do this week.

Here are a few pics from Sonya and Oma's visit and one video of Lily's latest game, the "flop" game. She just started doing this a couple nights ago out of the blue during her bedtime routine. You'll notice we're trying to keep the mood calm because it's so close to putting her down but man was it fun to watch Lily crack herself up....except for the last second when she bit my butt.
